CAE, a world leader in providing simulation and modeling technologies, appropriately held a round table conference on the heels of Defexpo 2010, to highlight its current state of success in India. Being the industry leader for simulators in India, CAE will showcase its UAV mission base simulator, the FWD observer trainer, and the Command in Staff system (which was developed in India exclusively for the Indian Navy), and will now be advertised to other markets at Defexpo. “It’s a showcase of technology,” states Martin Gagne, Group President Military Simulation Products CAE.
With annaul revenues above C$ 1.6 billion (Rs 7000 crore), CAE employs more than 6,500 people at more than 90 sites and training locations in 20 countries. CAE focuses on civil and military full-flight simulators and training devices, especially for missiles and UAVs. CAE has the ability to transfer technology as per the needs and requests of the customers. Gagne also announced the mid-year launch of its Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF), a join venture with HAL, and India's first Level D helicopter simulator training facility.
